Comet Hyakutake
The following pictures were taken from Plum Island, Newburyport, MA on
March 23, 1996 between 10 and 11 PM EST (0300-0400 UTC), using Kodak Royal
Gold 1000 film in a Pentax K1000 35 mm camera with a 85 to 210 mm zoom
lens piggy backed onto a Meade 2045 telescope driven by a drive corrector.
Polar alignment was not carefully done. The sky was very dark and it was
about 25 deg F with a 20-30 MPH wind. (can you say BRRRRRRR!)
